Darco Showcase

From the success of the project we made for Modulo, we were referred to create a similar application for Darco.

The application was an interactive 3D showcase for their apartment complex. It would run on a big screen in the reception of the building. Potential customers would be presented with more than just printed catalogues. There was another level of complexity, the customers should be able to see and navigate apartments as well as the larger apartment complex.

I used a template called ArchVizExplorer for the basic controls and structures and extensively modified it to support dynamic levels. Next I added some cinematic effects to the existing controls and added touch support on Pixel Streaming. Then it was handed off to the design team to create the complex and individual apartments.

Later we were asked to split the UI between the webpage and the streamed Unreal Engine instance, but after some development the tradeoffs did not justify the change.
